‘Reza’ to return to France

Alireza Motamedi’s ‘Reza’ to screen in France.

Alireza Motamedi’s award-winning film ‘Reza’ is set to screen in France.

According to a press release by the distribution company, the public screening of ‘Reza’ will begin on August 21st in theaters across France.

French company Norte Distribution who owns the film’s distribution rights in France, also unveiled the film’s official poster for the French market.

A romantic comedy, the film revolves around the life of an author named Reza who begins to write a story about his ancestor's immigration to the historic city of Isfahan.

Meanwhile, Reza and his wife separate after nine years of marriage, and despite his attempts to move on, he finds it difficult to start a new life without his ex who he still loves.

So he begins a search into all aspects of his personality to find out why his better half and the woman he loves cannot tolerate living with him.

The cast of the 94-minute film includes the director Alireza Motamedi as well as Sahar Dolatshahi, Setareh Pesyani, Reza Davoudnezhad, Afsar Asadi, Solmaz Ghani, Pantea Marzanian, Nasim Mirzadeh, Forough Taebi.

Motamedi’s directorial debut premiered at the 36th annual Fajr Film Festival and has appeared in many reputable international film festivals including the Sao Paulo International Film Festival in Brazil, the San Diego Asian Film Festival in the US, and the Beijing International Film Festival in China.

‘Reza’ also appeared at the 33rd annual Belfort Entrevues International Film Festival in France, winning the festival’s 15,000 Euro Ciné+ Distribution Support Award.
